Building an Inclusive Platform for Everyone
At Internpluss, we believe everyone deserves equal access to internship opportunities. We're committed to making our platform accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. This Accessibility Center outlines our efforts to create an inclusive experience for everyone.
We strive to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and continuously work to improve the accessibility of our platform. Our goal is to ensure that all students, regardless of ability, can navigate our site, search for internships, and manage their applications with ease.
Our platform is fully navigable using only a keyboard. You can use the Tab key to move through interactive elements, Enter or Space to activate buttons and links, and Arrow keys to navigate menus and form controls. All interactive elements have visible focus indicators.
We've designed our platform to work seamlessly with popular screen readers like JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver. Our pages use proper heading structure, descriptive labels, and ARIA attributes to provide context and ensure screen reader users can navigate and understand all content.
We maintain high color contrast ratios throughout our platform to ensure text is readable for users with visual impairments or color blindness. All text meets WCAG AA standards for contrast, and we don't rely solely on color to convey information.
You can resize text up to 200% using your browser's zoom function without losing functionality or content. Our responsive design adapts to different screen sizes and text sizes to maintain readability.
All images on our platform include descriptive alternative text (alt text) so that users with screen readers can understand the content and purpose of images. Decorative images are properly marked so they don't interfere with navigation.
We write in clear, simple language to make our content accessible to users with cognitive disabilities and those for whom English is not their first language. We avoid jargon and explain technical terms when necessary.
All form fields have clear labels and instructions. Error messages are descriptive and explain how to correct issues. Required fields are clearly marked, and we provide helpful hints where needed.
When we include video or audio content, we provide captions for videos and transcripts where possible to ensure content is accessible to users who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Our mobile app and responsive website are designed with accessibility in mind. We support mobile screen readers, touch targets are appropriately sized for easy interaction, and all features available on desktop are accessible on mobile devices.
Internpluss is compatible with common assistive technologies, including:
For the best accessibility experience, we recommend using the latest versions of modern browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Our platform works on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems.
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time effort. We regularly test our platform with assistive technologies and gather feedback from users with disabilities. We conduct accessibility audits and make continuous improvements based on user feedback and evolving best practices.
When we provide downloadable documents such as internship guides or resources, we strive to make them accessible. PDFs are tagged for screen reader compatibility, and we provide alternative formats when requested.
While we control the accessibility of our own platform, some content comes from third parties such as employers posting internship listings. We encourage all users of our platform to follow accessibility best practices and provide guidance to employers on creating accessible job postings.
