Job Description Job DescriptionWe are building a World class team that puts creative ideas into execution. Our team is looking for a EDA tools hardware engineer who will develop/deploy tools/flows and design methodologies to enable effective execution of complex chip design projects in diverse environments. Responsibilities include design, implement, verify, and supports the enablement and adoption of hardware design tools, flows, and methodologies. Defines methodologies for hardware development related to technology node and EDA tool enabling. Creates and verifies unique hardware designs, assembles design platforms, and integrates components into hierarchical systems to provide deployment coverage for end-to-end EDA tool testing on new technology nodes. You will work closely with design engineers to maximize the efficiency of the design process. The successful candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, and be able to contribute to teams while leveraging programming and analytical skills in a results-oriented environment. They have the ability to follow a structured and disciplined decision-making and development process. Provide strong technical expertise and consultations on design planning, integration and clocking solutions to Intel's Business Units and positively influence the design teams. Collaborates with EDA vendors on defining and early testing of next generation design tools.QualificationsQualifications:Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiencesMinimum Qualifications:Candidate possess a Bachelor's degree (with 3years industry experience) or Master's degree (with 2 years industry experience) in Electric Engineer, Computer Engineering or Electric and Computer EngineeringExperience Details:Experience driving Physical Design place and route Synopsys/Cadence tools, design reference/sign-off flows in advanced technologiesProficient in shell scripting and scripting programming languages (Perl/Python/Tcl) in Linux-based environments is required.Software development flows and architecture.Understanding of design methodology and tools features for IP/chip designCircuit design and silicon technology. Design challenges in advanced technologiesPreferred Qualification:3+ years experience inHands-on experience in design planning flow/methodology development for IP/Full chipUnderstanding of global clock distribution and methodologySTA/Signoff flows understanding is a plus.Programming : Hands-on expertise in Tcl, Perl, python, and Shell programming to write and understand scripting to automate and integrate the CAD flows for centralized deployment.Problem Solving:Strong experience in automation of methodologies/solution using TCL, Python, PERL and Tk.Debugging experience to debug vendor tool problems and interacting with designers to help tackle their problems.Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate and influence design development groups.Results and Forward Thinking: Solutions orientation Quality driven Execution minded Customer focusedInside this Business GroupIn the Design Engineering Group (DEG), we take pride in developing the best-in-class SOCs, Cores, and IPs that power Intel's products.
