Financial Analyst for Kathleen Durusoy - an experienced Michigan-based international investment executive with a strong background in real estate (remote).
Kathleen Durusoy is an international investment and business executive with over 15 years of diversified operational and investment experience, both domestically and abroad.
Her expertise spans real estate development and executive management in the Fortune 500 healthcare sector, managing 39,000 clients across 43 offices.
Kathleen is currently part of the Umergence team, focused on bringing vetted North American deal flow to global investors .Umergence's dedicated team of seasoned professionals, with an average of over 20 years of industry experience, has collectively been involved in raising more than $75 billion in capital. The team focuses on institutional capital placements, M&A advisory, early to late-stage direct investments, and late-stage secondary opportunities, connecting a network of domestic and international single/multi-family offices, high net worth individuals, private equity funds, pensions funds, endowment funds, institutional lenders, and strategic investors .Kathleen is now seeking a Financial Analyst to join her.

As a Financial Analyst for Kathleen, your responsibilities will include:
Evaluating deal flow from banks, with a primary focus on U.S. opportunities (90%) while considering international options (10%), to identify projects requiring capital raising and those with the highest potential for further exploration.
Participating in investor calls alongside Kathleen during capital raising efforts.
Assisting with various aspects of investor relations, particularly handling the financial side, e.g.:
Managing data rooms and understanding their content.
Analyzing balance sheets, income statements, and investor presentations.
Assessing financial metrics including revenue, profit and loss statements, and capital requirements.
Addressing critical questions from investors during calls, contributing to both financial analysis and sales efforts.
Helping with email campaigns to engage with unfamiliar investors and reach out to potential companies in need of capital.
Not necessarily but will be a plus:
Knowledge of Arabic or another language in Middle East/ Latin America. What will set you up for success
Excellent English skills - you'll communicate with native English speakers, so we expect you to have a minimum of an Advanced level and for sure we don't want to see or hear any mistakes.
Ongoing/complete Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Analytics or related sphere (Master's is more preferable).
You should have a minimum of 1-2 years of prior experience in the field of Finance and financial statement analysis.
Great financial & analytical skills - you can analyze, structure, and work with financial data, and come up with conclusions based on the information you receive.
You are expected to demonstrate proficiency in financial statement analysis, including working with Excel spreadsheets, financial data software tools, and financial modeling, encompassing income statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
Excellent attention to detail you should be the person who cares about every small detail while working with numbers.
Strong self-reliance and the ability to create solutions and make decisions on your own with the minimum required confirmations.
If you don't know something, you need to be independent enough to Google, and not get stuck on a problem.
Understanding of outreach strategies and the dynamics of private equity - you are capable of executing outreach initiatives and grasping new deal opportunities.
Adaptability & intelligence - you'll need to quickly adapt to work with various digital tools and new information.
Organizing skills - you know exactly how to organize your work and personal time and don't want any minute to go to waste.
Working hours:
You'll need to adjust your schedule to have at least 4 overlapping hours with Kathleen typically from 7 am to 11 am EST. Additionally, you should be prepared for a daily check-in call at 2:00 pm. (EST, Michigan time, check the time difference via the link).
