Job Description
As a part of PURE R&D, you will be joining Certification & Homologation team who is responsible for the planning, execution, and Certification of component level systems to support overall compliance on new and existing programs. This role requires clear understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to these components both at a regulatory bodies and type approval authorities on the suject matter discussions and effectively communicate the learnings to the design teams. A successful candidate for this position must have a broad technical background with regulatory requirements and demostrated experience on vehicle component compliance, testing and certification. Roles and Responsibilities Work with engineering teams to understand the new designs, co-ordinate with test and CAE teams to define proper test procedures and conditions for critical tests. Participate in test and design team meetings to familiarize with designs and provide feedback on concerns based on homologation requirements. Identify homologation needs and follow up any homologation process for new vehicle types to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and respect homologation timings. prepare necessary technical documentation and provide subjective interpretation support to design and test engineers according to regulatory requirements. Monitor regulatory revisions and identify regulatory requirements unique to country / market as appropriate to each model, model year and derivative. Collaborate with the teams in researching interpretations and filing compliance demonstrations. understand and track SAE, ISO and IEC, AIS and CMVR regulations and their applicability to these components. Manage conformity of production (CoP) requirements. Skills & Requirements BE/B.Tech in automotive /EEE / ECE / Mech engineering with internship / project in relevant domain. A minimum of 2 years of OEM level work experience, preferably in component testing and Certification. Very good knowledge about indian vehicle industry. Good knowledge about indian homologation markets (technical requirements, manufacturers, competitors, market price levels, available testing facilities). Willing to relocate and remain onsite at the work location Strong interpersonal and communication skills Hard working ability and desire for excellence in executing projects. Ability and willingness to travel within the country and occasional internation travel would also be required. Basic knowledge about QMS.
