The IT Intern will support our in-house IT department. As an IT intern at our retail firm, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to various technical projects under the guidance of our technical lead. This role is designed to provide exposure to different aspects of IT operations within a retail setup, allowing you to develop your skills and understanding of technology in a real-world business environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues.Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software.Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues.Follow established procedures and processes for computer maintenance.Provide training and support to team members in using computer systems and software.Perform system backups and maintain accurate records.Research and recommend solutions for technical problems.Qualifications and Skills:Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.Proficiency in common operating systems (Windows, Linux) and productivity tools (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).Exposure to the Shopify platform is preferred.Basic knowledge of programming languages (such as Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and databases (SQL or NoSQL) is desirable.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Strong communication and customer service skills.Promote cybersecurity awareness and encourage best practices among colleagues and end-users.Help with repetitive technical tasks.Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology.Why work for Torn & StitchedAt T&S, we invest in our employees for their overall growth and focus on providing an excellent work-life balance.
