Job Description Job Description: Training Manager Career ServicesRole: Training ManagerRole Overview: The Training Manager plays a vital role in preparing students for successful careers by providing them with the skills and knowledge required by the evolving industry landscape. Your expertise and dedication in enhancing students professional abilities will contribute to their employability and overall success in the job market.Key Responsibilities:As a Training Manager within the Career Services team, your primary responsibility is to ensure that Business School students are equipped with the necessary professional and industry-ready skills. You will bridge the gap between academia and the industry by providing training sessions on both soft and hard skills. Your role includes, but is not limited to, the following:Training and Development: Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs and workshops focused on enhancing students professional skills. Conduct sessions on soft skills, including communication, teamwork, leadership, time management, and interpersonal skills. Provide training on hard skills relevant to the industry, including data analysis, digital marketing, project management, and technology tools. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the training content is current and relevant.Industry Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of how the industry is evolving, including emerging tools, technologies, and trends. Collaborate with corporate partners and faculty to gather insights into industry expectations from student graduates. Share industry insights with students to better prepare them for future careers.Resume Building and Personal Branding: Assist students in crafting effective resumes that highlight their skills and experiences. Provide guidance on optimizing LinkedIn profiles and creating a strong online presence. Offer strategies for personal branding, networking, and effective job search techniques.Interview Preparation: Conduct mock interview sessions to help students improve their interviewing skills. Provide feedback and guidance on answering common interview questions. Offer strategies for handling different interview formats, including behavioral and technical interviews.Presentation Skills: Coach students on improving their presentation and public speaking skills. Provide guidance on structuring and delivering effective presentations. Offer techniques for handling Q&A sessions and addressing audience feedback.Key Result Areas (KRAs):Training Program Development: Develop an annual training program, including content, schedule, and resources. Ensure the training program aligns with industry needs and emerging trends. Continuously update and improve training materials and resources.Training Delivery: Deliver training sessions as per the schedule and ensure active student engagement. Monitor and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of training sessions and attendance.Industry Insights: Stay informed about industry developments, tools, and trends. Provide regular updates to the Corporate Relations team and students. Facilitate interactions between students and industry experts.Student Support: Assist students in improving their resumes and LinkedIn profiles. Conduct mock interviews and offer personalized feedback. Coach students on effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Impact Measurement: Develop and implement assessment tools to measure the impact of training programs. Collect feedback from students, faculty, and corporate partners to make continuous improvements. Report on the success and effectiveness of training initiatives.Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the Corporate Relations Team to align training with placement and internship opportunities. Work closely with faculty to integrate training into the curriculum where applicable. Build relationships with corporate partners to gain insights and resources for training
