Hospitality Intern
Guest Services:
 Engaging in guest interactions, providing assistance, and ensuring a positive experience.

  1. Reservations Management: Learning to manage reservations efficiently, utilizing booking systems, and optimizing room allocations.

  2. Front Desk Operations: Participating in front desk activities, including check-in/out, key issuance, and handling billing processes.

  3. Event Coordination: Assisting in the planning and execution of events, developing skills in logistics and organization.

  4. Customer Service: Addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

  5. Administrative Tasks: Contributing to administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping.

  6. Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborating with various departments to understand the holistic operation of the hospitality industry.

  7. Learning Standards: Exposure to industry standards, best practices, and compliance requirements.

  8. Professional Development: Gaining valuable experience for personal and professional growth within the hospitality sector.

Culinary Intern:

  1. Kitchen Assistance: Supporting chefs in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.

  3. Food Safety: Learning and implementing proper food safety and hygiene practices in the kitchen.

  6. Collaboration: Working closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.

Requirements

• Is currently enrolled in and pursuing studies at a degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary academic
institution outside the United States or
• Graduated from such an institution no more than 12 months prior to his/her exchange visitor program
begin date, and who enters the United States to participate in a structured and guided work-based
internship program in his/her specific academic field
